An Afternoon of Vivaldi at Planting Fields
Chamber Players International to Present Music Amid Nature's Splendor

Long Island, NY – Planting Fields Foundation is proud to present an enchanting afternoon of music and ecology on Saturday, August 24 from 1 to 4pm, as they present a Vivaldi Celebration at Planting Fields. This event features Grammy-nominated conductor, Maestro Enrico Fagone, violinist Lorenzo Mazzamuto, and talented members of the Chamber Players International. $5 per person, children aged 7 under, free. Concert-goers are invited to bring a blanket and chairs, as well as a picnic as they enjoy Antonio Vivaldi’s iconic concerto The Four Seasons from 1 to 2:30pm surrounded by the historic and blooming landscape of Planting Fields. From 2:30 to 4pm, Planting Fields Arboretum Director, Vincent Simeone will provide a brief introduction to Maestro Fagone’s insightful commentary on the ways in which Vivaldi’s music has inspired generations of composers, from Mozart to modern-day musicians. He’ll also dive into the connection between Vivaldi’s love of nature and the ecological themes and motifs that appear throughout his work.

Maestro Enrico Fagone is a highly esteemed Italian conductor, recognized as one of the most promising talents on the international stage. He serves as the Artistic Director and Music Director of the Chamber Players International (CPI) and has conducted major orchestras around the world, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, and the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his conducting career, he is also a Grammy-nominated artist for his work in classical music.

Violinist Lorenzo Mazzamuto is an accomplished musician known for his versatile performances, both as a soloist and chamber musician. He has collaborated with renowned international musicians and has performed globally since childhood. Mazzamuto has received numerous awards, including the Helen Kwalwasser Prize and the Temple University Concerto Competition. Notably, he recorded a Grammy-nominated album with the Temple University Symphony Orchestra.
