Burglar Swipes $1.6K In Merchandise From East Hills CVS: Police

Officers were called to the site just before 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nassau police say.

EAST HILLS, NY — Around $1,600 in merchandise was taken from the CVS on Glen Cove Road in East Hills during a burglary on Sunday, Nassau police said.

Officers were called to the site just before 9 p.m., and determined an unknown adult male suspect, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black and white sneakers, and a surgical mask went inside the employee stock room, according to police.

Once inside the suspect took around $1,600 of assorted merchandise before running away in an unknown direction, police said, adding that there is no further description of the subject at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding the above incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, a confidential police hotline, or call 911.
