Car Crashes Through Glen Cove Pizzeria's Window: Police
No one was injured but, SoBol was also damaged, Glen Cove police said.

GLEN COVE, NY — A car crashed through the front window of Villa Meci Pizzeria in Glen Cove on Wednesday morning, Glen Cove police said.
A 77-year-old woman "inadvertently stepped on the accelerator" of her 2022 Volvo while parking and drove it into the Glen Cove Avenue pizzeria at around 10:20 a.m., according to police.
No one was hurt, police said.

Patch has reached out to the pizzeria for comment.
The crash drew first responders from both the police and fire departments.

Glen Cove Police Det. Lt. John Nagle said that "thankfully," no one was injured.
The front windows of Villa Meci "were destroyed, as well as an interior wall" of SoBol next door, but Glen Cove's Building Department inspected the damage, and both businesses were able to re-open, he said.
The accident was investigated and deemed non-criminal, according to Nagle.
