On the morning of April 3rd, 2023, the City of Glen Cove Volunteer Ambulance lost one of their best Emergency Medical Technicians, EMT Susan Giovanniello. Susan was only 19 years old and a resident of Glen Cove, NY. Her passing has left a deep void in the hearts of her colleagues, friends, and the community.

Susan was known for her contagious smile that could light up a room. Her warm and caring personality made her stand out among her peers. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether it was a colleague having a bad day or a patient in distress.

Susan had been an EMT at Glen Cove EMS for over a year, and prior to that, she served in the Glen Cove EMS explorer post for a few years, where she held the position of secretary. She was an amazing role model and friend to everyone who knew her.

The City of Glen Cove Volunteer Ambulance extends their deepest condolences to Susan's family and friends during this difficult time. Susan's passing is a significant loss to the Glen Cove EMS community, and she will be forever missed and never forgotten.
