Flooding From Monday's Storm Closes Down East Beach Road In Glen Cove

"The GCPD will continue to monitor this area and they will remove barriers when deemed safe to do so," officials said in a statement.

GLEN COVE, NY — East Beach Road is closed due to flooding from Monday's fast-moving storm, according to Glen Cove officials.

In a release published Tuesday, the City said Mayor Pam Panzenbeck and Deputy Mayor Donna McNaughton surveyed flood-affected areas and determined that East Beach Road, near Pryibil's Beach, should remain closed to motorists.

"The (Glen Cove Police Department) will continue to monitor this area and they will remove barriers when deemed safe to do so," the statement read.
