George Santos Movie In Works At HBO
The cable network purchased the rights to Mark Chiusano's recently published book.

NEW YORK, NY — The political career of George Santos lasted less than a year, but there's more than content for a movie.
HBO has optioned the rights to Mark Chiusano's book "The Fabulist: The Lying, Hustling, Grifting, Stealing, and Very American Legend of George Santos." The book was published last week, just days before Santos was expelled from Congress. It came in the wake of a damning ethics report that detailed personal purchases, such as OnlyFans and Botox treatment, were funneled through campaign funds.
The film, in development, is being described as a darkly comic lookinto the Santos rise and dramatic from grace after his election to the 3rd Congressional District last November. Frank Rich, who executive produced HBO's Washington DC-based "Veep," is attached to this project, Deadline reported.
