Glen Cove Car Parade Celebrates Argentina's World Cup Victory Sunday
The Glen Cove Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Comite Civico Argentina held a celebration in Glen Cove after the win over France.
GLEN COVE, NY — Argentine-American Long Islanders and supporters gathered in Glen Cove on Sunday to celebrate Argentina's World Cup victory.
Comite Civico Argentina, a Westbury-based group, partnered with the North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to stage a car parade to celebrate.
The supporters — people from all over, the Chamber said — gathered at Congregation Tifereth Israel a half-hour after the match ended, with Argentina beat France in penalty kicks.

"We had a great car parade," Connie Pinilla, president of the chamber, said.
"Viva Argentina!"
