GLEN COVE, NY — Democrats scored massive victories Tuesday night in Glen Cove, with incumbent Mayor Tim Tenke and six other Democrats collecting wins. Tenke, District Attorney Madeline Singas and Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton were among the incumbents defending their seats this year, as were city council members Joseph Capobianco, Nicholas DiLeo Jr., Kevin Maccarone, Donna McNaughton and Marsha Silverman.

Democrats swept in the races for Legislature and district attorney. Later in the night, Mayor Tenke edged Reggie Spinello by several hundred votes while fellow Democrats walloped the GOP-dominated council. Marsha Silverman, Danielle Fugazy Scagliola, Rocco Totino, Gaitley Stevenson-Mathews, Eve Lupenko-Ferrante and John Perrone all earned major victories. The Democrats swept the panel.

Spinello congratulated Tenke and his fellow Democrats in a Facebook post, saying Tenke and his slate had a "nice win."
