Glen Cove Looks To Hire Lifeguards For Summer Season
Anyone 16 years old or older is able to apply.

The City of Glen Cove is looking to hire athletic-minded individuals to work as lifeguards this upcoming beach season.
Anyone 16 years old or older is able to apply.
All applicants who complete an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course and the Nassau County certification tests will be guaranteed a job at the Glen Cove beaches this year. They will also be reimbursed for the American Red Cross course fee.

“The American Red Cross training course offers a great way to get in shape and obtain lifesaving skills,” Glen Cove Mayor Timothy Tenke said in a press release.
Glen Cove beaches are staffed seven days a week during peak season. Work schedules are flexible to meet all employees' needs on a part-time or full-time basis. Lifeguards are paid a minimum of $11 per hour.

“Many lifeguards find their summer job a fun and rewarding one with competitive pay and a great opportunity to work outside,” said Darcy Belyea, Director of the Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department.
Glen Cove beaches officially open on Saturday, May 26.
