GLEN COVE, NY — Weddings and other special events are back on at the Mansion at Glen Cove, where three people were shot this month, after reaching an agreement with the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA).

The Mansion, a popular venue known for its black-tie events, had its liquor license suspended in response to the shooting on July 10, which left three people injured. The shooting took place at a private event promoted online as the "Big Fendi Celebrity B-Day Pool Party."

According to the SLA, The Mansion was denied a permit from the City of Glen Cove but hosted the party anyway.

But on Friday — two weeks after The Mansion had its liquor license pulled — the venue announced it has reached an agreement with the state. As part of the agreement, The Mansion can have its liquor license back if it pays a $50,000 fine and complies with restrictions set forth by the SLA.

The restrictions are as follows:

  • At the beginning of each month for a year, The Mansion must inform the local police department of any planned events
  • The Mansion can only have recorded music in the pool area
  • DJs are permitted on the licensed premises except for the pool

The SLA received payment for the fine on Thursday, according to documents obtained by Patch.
