Glen Cove Receives $59K Grant For New Loop Bus
The grant looks to improve public transportation in Glen Cove.

The City of Glen Cove was the recent recipient of a $59,500 grant to purchase a new loop bus.
The ADA-accessible vehicle will help residents to better get around the City using public transportation.
The Federal Transit Administration announced on Thursday that $264 million in funding will go towards improving the safety and reliability of bus systems across the country.

Those funds went towards 139 projects in 52 states and territories, including Glen Cove.
“FTA is proud to help bring new and rehabilitated buses, facilities, and equipment to communities across the country,” FTA Acting Administrator K. Jane Williams said in a statement. “This marks a step forward in improving mobility for the millions of Americans who travel by bus to work, school, healthcare, and other services.”
