Glen Cove Seeking 2019 Hall Of Fame Inductees

The City of Glen Cove is looking for accomplished residents to be inducted into the Glen Cove Hall of Fame this year.

There have been 215 Glen Cove Hall of Fame inductees since 1983. Each individual has his or her name engraved on the monument, located at the entrance to John Maccarone Memorial (City) Stadium.

Potential candidates may include athletes, coaches, administrators, managers, promoters or sponsors who have shown dedication towards the area of athletic competition.

Nominees on the high school, college, professional, semi-professional, and amateur levels will be considered.

Candidates must also meet the following criteria:

• Must have been a resident of or employed in Glen Cove for no less than five (5) consecutive years
• A minimum of four (4) years must have passed since graduation from high school
• Evidence of good citizenship must be present

The official installation of the 2019 candidates will take place at the Hall of Fame Induction Dinner later this year.
