Glen Cove's Christmas Tree Ready To Be Lit Sat., Dec. 3 In Village Sq.

Glen Cove's annual Holiday Festival will be held this Saturday in Village Square: Horse and carriage and train rides, live music and more.

GLEN COVE, NY — The Glen Cove City Christmas tree has arrived. The 28-year-old, 45-foot Colorado Blue Spruce was donated by a Glen Cove resident, Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck shared on Tuesday.

The tree will be lit Saturday, Dec. 3 at the city's annual Holiday Festival in Glen Cove Village Square. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., the festivities will include free photos with Santa, free horse and carriages rides, a hot chocolate bar, a "choo-choo train," stocking decorating and a holiday marketplace.

The festival has a full line-up of live music from: GCHS Jazz Band, GCHS Orchestra, Finley Middle School Choir, St. Dominic's Choir and Dance Company, Mercy Dance Company, Our Lady of Mercy Academy Select Choir, Glen Dance Studio, Jazz Hands Children's Theatre, Christopher Moll, Steven Dahlke, The Slayer Players, The Sleigh Bells, and Downtown Sounds Teen Idol Finalists.

The tree will light up at 4:45 p.m., according to the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District, which organizes the event.
