Glen Head Commercial Property, Vacant For Years, Sells For $1.05M

GLEN HEAD, NY — A commercial building in Glen Head that has long been vacant may see some new life soon. The 3,642 square-foot retail space at 674 Glen Cove Ave. recently sold for $1,050,000.

The building is approved to house a 90-seat restaurant, according to the property listing.

Long Island Business News (LIBN) reported that the buyer was an electrical contractor who will use the back half of the building. The buyer, Angelo Akde, is looking for a retail tenant for the front half, LIBN said.

The property was on the market for over a year, and according to LIBN, it was empty for four years, last used by a rug retailer.
