The City of Glen Cove is finalizing the names of up to 200 local veterans who will be featured on a newly designed monument at the entrance to Morgan Memorial Park.
The World War II monument will include the names of veterans who all lived within one square mile of each other in the Landing area of Glen Cove. Check out a map of the Landing neighborhood here.
A list of the names set to be engraved has been posted online. Residents with family members who resided in the Landing neighborhood and served in WWII are encouraged to review the list to make sure there are no errors and no person is missing. View the list here.
