House Democrats File Resolution To Expel George Santos
"We gave him plenty of time to resign," California Congressman Robert Garcia said Thursday.

WASHINGTON, DC — A group of House Democrats took the next step to remove Congressman George Santos from the body, filing a resolution Thursday seeking to expel the Republican, who represents the North Shore of Nassau County and parts of Queens.
"We gave him plenty of time to resign, and he has chosen not to do so," Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia of California said at a news conference.
It comes as new revelations against the new lawmaker have popped up.

Garcia added that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) didn't block Santos from receiving a classified briefing, which he called the "last straw."
