Hurricane Harvey Donation Drop Off Locations In Glen Cove

The City of Glen Cove has partnered with Island Harvest to collect items for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The City of Glen Cove has partnered with Island Harvest/Feed America and Nassau County Office of Emergency Management to host a collection drive to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

"With widespread damage to their homes, over 30,000 people in shelters and countless others in distress, we want to do our part to help however we can to assist those families in need,” Mayor Reggie Spinello said in a press release.

Island Harvest requests Glen Cove and area residents donate the following items:

  • Non-perishable “ready to eat” and shelf stable foods such as peanut butter, baby food and formula, soup and canned foods
  • Bottled water
  • Hygiene items such as toothbrushes, diapers, soap, wipes, feminine hygiene products
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Batteries and flashlights
  • Dog and cat food

No clothing donations will be accepted.

Donations can be made until Friday, Sept. 15 at the following locations:

  • The Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department, 10 Glen Cove Ave., Monday through Sunday in the lobby of the Department.
  • The Glen Cove Youth Bureau, 128 B Glen St. (in back of building), Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
