Items Worth $2,100 Stolen From Trailers At North Shore HS: Police

A man fled the scene during the overnight hours Thursday, police said.

GLEN HEAD, NY — Police are investigating an overnight burglary in Glen Head.

A 63-year-old male security guard called the police early Thursday to report that someone entered two parked work trailers without permission and removed various items, authorities said.

The trailers were on the North Shore High School grounds at 450 Glen Cove Rd.

Police observed a metal rod on the ground used to pick the locks on the trailers, police said.

A backpack containing two iPhones, house keys and blank checks was missing from the trailers. The stolen items had a value of over $2,100.

An unknown man wearing black clothing was spotted walking around the trailers and then was seen leaving Glen Cove Road northbound on foot, police said.
