Man Went On Larceny Spree In Greenvale: Police

The man was arrested Thursday morning.

A New Jersey man was arrested on Thursday for committing multiple larcenies in the Greenvale area, police say.

According to authorities, Irving Sanchez, 36, of Irvington, NJ, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and personal items from a car in Wheatley Plaza on Sept. 8, 2017. He fled the scene in a Gray 2011 Dodge Durango with a New Jersey license plate, police say.

An investigation into the incident revealed Sanchez was responsible for multiple similar larcenies in the area over an undetermined amount of time, police say.

He was arrested at 10:50 a.m. in Mineola and charged with third-degree grand larceny, two counts of second-degree forgery, first-degree identity theft, two counts fourth-degree grand larceny, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

He will be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
