Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Set for Monday, Jan. 19
The event starts at the First Baptist Church in Glen Cove.

The 31st annual City of Glen Cove and Glen Cove School District tribute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is set for Monday, Jan. 19 beginning at 9 a.m. at the First Baptist Church on Continental Avenue.
From the First Baptist Church, the Glen Cove Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Commemorative Commission will lead the way for a symbolic march through downtown Glen Cove to the Finley Middle School on Forest Avenue.
The commission will then offer a program that includes both visual and vocal presentations to honor Dr. King, the slain Civil Rights leader, America’s Nobel Peace Prize winner and champion of the poor and disenfranchised.
