Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Glen Cove Crash With Mercedes

GLEN COVE, NY — A 55-year-old motorcycle rider was hospitalized with critical injuries after a crash at lunchtime Thursday in Glen Cove, Nassau County police said.

According to detectives, at about 12:28 p.m., a 64-year-old woman driving a 2001 Mercedes Benz ML 320 making a left turn collided with a 2018 Honda motorcycle.

The driver of the SUV was traveling southbound on Brewster Street and was making a left turn into the Village Square parking lot. The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Brewster Street at the time and struck the passenger side of the turning SUV, Glen Cove police said.

Both are Glen Cove residents, police said.

He suffered severe head and facial injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.
