Motorcyclist Killed, Crashing Into Utility Pole: Police

GLEN HEAD, NY — A motorcyclist was killed when he lost control and struck a utility pole in Glen Head on Friday, police said.

The 36-year-old male victim was riding his black 2023 Kawasaki eastbound on Scudders Lane just before 6 p.m. when the crash occurred, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
