Police ID Nassau Man, 23, Killed In Motorcycle Crash

His motorcycle was cut off by a turning Jeep Monday evening, police say.

Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed after he was involved in a collision with a Jeep in Glen Cove on Monday evening.

According to authorities, Withman O. Stone, 23 of Glen Cove, was on a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle heading westbound on Sea Cliff Avenue when he collided with a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling eastbound and making a left turn into a parking lot at 6:31 p.m.

Stone was ejected in crash and suffered multiple trauma injuries. He was transported to an area hospital and was later pronounced dead. A GoFundMe has been set up to help support Stone's funeral expenses.

The driver of the Jeep, a 67-year-old man, was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks. The investigation is ongoing.
