GLEN COVE, NY — Nassau County Assembly Member Charles Lavine, from Glen Cove, announced that his holiday toy drive has been extended. The original deadline of Dec. 16 has been changed to Dec. 23, to give residents more time to donate new gifts to Nassau families in need, a spokesperson from the lawmaker's office told Patch.

There are five drop locations in North Nassau for new, unwrapped gift donations. The toys will go to families in need at Hicksville's Boys & Girls Club.

“Last year’s toy drive, which was so successful, was a shining example of the generosity of the community and I am confident for another great outcome for the kids at the Hicksville Boys & Girls Club," Lavine said.
