Glen Cove, N.Y. - The Ninth Annual Community Easter Dawn Service is set to take place in Glen Cove’s Morgan Park on Easter morning at 7:00 am, inviting residents of Glen Cove and surrounding areas to come together for the half-hour-long celebration. Organized by a coalition of seven churches, the service has grown to become a tradition, emphasizing the common thread that unifies those who celebrate Easter.

Originally established in 2016 through the collaborative efforts of three local churches, the Easter Dawn Service now includes eight area churches. This year's host churches include Calvary A.M.E Church, First Baptist Church, Glen Cove Christian Church, Iglesia Ciudad de Refugio, St. John’s of Lattingtown Episcopal Church, Iglesia Ciudad Casa de Dios Internacional, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The bilingual service, conducted in both English and Spanish, opens with "Christ is Risen" echoed in multiple languages, underscoring the universal significance of Easter for Christians worldwide.
