The Northwinds Symphonic Band Salutes Veterans
Concert will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, 3 pm at the Wunsch Arts Center.

On Sunday, November 19, 2023, 3 pm at the Wunsch Arts Center, The Northwinds Symphonic Band will present an afternoon of inspirational music entitled A Tribute to Our Veterans. Admission is free.
Under the direction of Helen P. Bauer, conductor, Brandon Bromsey, associate conductor, and guest conductor Concetta Stevens, the band is proud to recognize the service men and women of all the armed forces with music selections that honor their commitment, loyalty, and allegiance to our country.
The program will feature works by American composers; from John Williams’ somber Hymn to the Fallen to a light-hearted medley from South Pacific by Richard Rogers.
Other program highlights will be music by Bruce Broughton, William Schuman, Robert W. Smith, and James L. Hosay, all who have painted musical pictures depicting the valor of our American soldiers at war.
In addition, the band will play two popular Sousa marches, and vocalist Rachel Green will join the band to sing God Bless America, and I Can’t Give You Anything But Love.
This concert is being sponsored by Suicide Awareness & Remembrance Flag whose mission is to facilitate suicide prevention within the veteran and active military communities. Please visit their website at sarflag.org.
