NY 13th Assembly District: Lavine Challenged By Newcomer Anzai
The long-term Democrat Assemblyman is facing a challenge from a Republican newcomer.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Incumbent Assemblyman Charles Lavine is being challenged by newcomer Ruka Anzai to represent the 13th Assembly District.
Lavine has served in the Assembly since 2004. A lawyer by trade, he used to work for the Legal Aid Society of the City of New York, and also served as counsel for the Glen Cove Community Development and Industrial Development Agencies.
Anzai is an immigrant and IT professional working for the federal government. She is the vice president of the Jericho Republican Club, and has been honored for her work in the community.

The 13th Assembly District includes Roslyn, Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, Bayville, Centre Island, Cove Neck, Woodbury, Syosset, Plainview, Jericho and Westbury.
