TRAFFIC UPDATE: Overnight Exit Ramp Closure Postponed
State officials have postponed closing the Exit 38 ramp from eastbound Long Island Expressway to eastbound Northern State Parkway.

(Original post) GLEN COVE, NY — The Exit 38 ramp from eastbound Long Island Expressway to eastbound Northern State Parkway will be closed for bridge maintenance, the New York State Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.
Crews will close down the ramp from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. A detour will be available at Exit 39 for Glen Cove Road (southbound) for access to the Northern State Parkway.

Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. As a reminder, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's license.
