Polish National Home Hosts Miss Polonia 2025 Coronation Ceremony
A joyous celebration of tradition, pride, and Polish-American community spirit

Glen Cove, NY – August 2025 — This past Saturday, the Polish National Home of Glen Cove and Vicinity proudly hosted the coronation ceremony for Miss Polonia 2025, an event that celebrated Polish heritage, community spirit, and tradition. The festive evening took place at the historic Polish Hall and brought together community leaders, honored guests, and members of the local Polish-American community for a memorable celebration.

Julia Jon was crowned Miss Polonia 2025, succeeding Daria Juras, the reigning queen for 2024. The ceremony also recognized Edward Podsiadło as the 2025 Glen Cove Parade Marshal, following Margaret Dochnal, who served as the 2024 Parade Marshal and participated in the celebration.



The event welcomed several distinguished guests, including Arkadiusz Bagiński, the Grand Marshal of the 2025 Pulaski Parade, and his wife, Ashley Bagiński, and General Pulaski Parade Committee Member Jadwiga Kopała. Glen Cove Firefighters Pete Prudente, Geoffrey Decoster, and Adam Acosta honored the occasion by serving as escorts for Miss Polonia and other dignitaries.

Local elected officials showed their support, with Mayor Pam Panzenbeck, County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton, and Councilwoman Marsha Silverman attending the celebration. The evening was skillfully emceed in both Polish and English by Anna Czerwonka, who helped guide the program with warmth and grace. Other honored guests included former councilman and President of the Tribute and Honor Foundation, Gaitley Stevenson-Mathews, and Cristian Buitron, who escorted 2024 Marshal Margaret Dochnal. Music was provided by the band, The Masters, ensuring the dance floor remained full throughout the night.
