For those who are looking to responsibly enjoy an adult beverage, celebrity caterer Andrea Correale, of Elegant Affairs Catering in Glen Cove, has mixed up four unique cocktails perfect for a New Year's celebration, or any type of party.

Winter Blue

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1 ounce blue curacao
  • 4 oz. Lemonade

Instructions:

  1. Fill a glass with ice and pour in your vodka and curacao.
  2. Top the rest of the way with lemonade.
  3. Garnish with a wedge of lemon.

Limoncello Rum Collins

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Oronoco Rum
  • 3 lime wedges
  • 3 oz. Fresh lime juice
  • 1 Dash of Simple Syrup
  • 1 Dash of Limoncello

Instructions:

  1. Combine 2 fresh cut lime wedges, lime juice, Oronoco, Limoncello and simple syrup with crushed ice.
  2. Shake vigorously and strain into a Collins glass over fresh carved ice cubes.
  3. Garnish with a lime wedge and a stick of sugar cane.

Midnight Kiss

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. peppermint vodka
  • ½ oz. vanilla vodka
  • 4 oz. champagne
  • 1 tsp cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1 jar gold sprinkles for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rim champagne flute with peppermint vodka, dip into gold sprinkles.
  2. Pour ½ oz. vanilla vodka 1 oz. peppermint vodka into flute.
  3. Add with 1 tsp crushed peppermint candies.
  4. Top off with 4 oz. of your favorite champagne.

Sparkling Blood Orange Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup crème de cassis
  • 1 ½ cups strained fresh blood orange juice
  • 1 750-ml bottle chilled sparking white wine
  • 8 blood orange slices

Instructions:

  1. Start with 1 ½ teaspoons crème de cassis.
  2. Add 3 tbsp. blood orange juice to each glass.
  3. Fill each glass with sparkling white wine, then stir gently.
  4. Garnish cocktails with slices of blood orange.
