Roslyn's Winning Marching Band Honored By Nassau Exec; 1st Place In NY

The Roslyn Marching Bulldogs were honored Wednesday for winning first place in the New York State Field Band Championships.

ROSLYN, NY — The Roslyn Marching Bulldogs took the top spot in the New York State Field Band Championship this year, and on Wednesday the band was honored by top Nassau County executives.

County executive Bruce Blakeman honored the band in a ceremony at Roslyn High School.

"Throughout the year they dedicated countless hours to practicing & rehearsing to achieve this accomplishment, all while keeping up with their academic studies. Each band member serves as an inspiration to their fellow bandmates, classmates & the entire #Roslyn community," the Nassau County Comptroller's office posted.
