'SPRING INTO SUMMER' In Glen Cove With Equinox Event

GLEN COVE, NY — Glen Cove officials and the city's volunteer Special Events committee are offering residents and visitors a chance to kick off the season with SPRING INTO SUMMER on June 21 at Garvies Point.

Along with music, entertainment, raffles — and the best waterfront sunset — the menu for the evening includes Sid’s All American, Zozzo’s Pizza, Gelato Cart, Cousins Maine Lobster, Gooseberry Grove Desserts and Souvlaki Joint Truck.

Admission is free with food, beverages and raffles available for purchase.

It's building on the resounding success of the ‘Sip into Summer’ festival of 2022, which captured the vibrant spirit of the start of the summer season with a perfect blend of food, fun, entertainment and community engagement, Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck told Patch.

That event, also at the scenic Garvies Point Ferry Terminal, attracted many residents and out-of-towners alike, all coming together to enjoy the festivities.

"Overall, the festival not only provided an evening of fun and relaxation but also fostered a sense of unity and pride among the residents who thoroughly enjoyed being out and about. The Mayor’s office received a tremendous number of beautiful compliments about the event and now we hope to capture the same success," she said. "Our logistics team and our volunteer events committee, with their thoughtful planning and seamless organization, covered every detail — from the efficient set-up to the dismantling."

SPRING INTO SUMMER will be an exciting way to begin the season, she said.
