Trapped Man Rescued After Tree Falls On His Car During Lunch Break
A Long Island man found a shady spot to enjoy his lunch. Then, a tree fell on his car, trapping him inside.
GLEN COVE, NY — A Long Island man had to be rescued by first responders Tuesday after a tree fell onto his car, trapping him inside.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. on Pearsall Avenue in Glen Cove.
Police said a 66-year-old Locust Valley man had parked his 2001 Chevy under a shady tree to eat his lunch. That's when the tree fell onto his vehicle and pinned him inside.

Firefighters had to saw through the tree to rescue the unidentified man, who suffered head and shoulder pain as a result of the freak accident, police said. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
