Tropical Smoothie Cafe Seeks Glen Cove Location In Village Square

GLEN COVE, NY — Another business is looking to open in Glen Cove's mixed-use development Village Square. A Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchisee, a smoothie and food franchise restaurant with over two dozens Long Island locations, applied to open a location at 100 Village Square, Suite 140, in July.

A Glen Cove City Planning Board public meeting was held to discuss the application, along with another from Mexican restaurant Tocolo Cantina also for a Village Square space.

The applicant wrote that "Long Island has proven to be a successful market for" the franchise.

There are Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in Port Washington, Garden City Park and Carle Place.
