Glen Cove residents had the opportunity to meet Adam Sandler when he arrived on set of his latest movie being filmed in the area.
In a video posted to Facebook on Wednesday by Barbara McCormack-Marzulli, Sandler pulled up in a silver Escalade and exited the vehicle while eating an apple. He greeted his fans, many who were telling him they were his "biggest fan."
"Oh my god, my grandson is going to freak out," the person in the video says.

Sandler stopped to shake hands, take pictures and videos.
"BEST COMEDIAN EV[ER]," a woman yells as the video cuts out and Sandler re-enters the vehicle, all while still holding his apple.

The cast and crew for the Nexflix movie "The Week Of," starring Sandler, Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi and others, are using the Church of St. Rocco, located at 18 3rd St., as a base camp.

There will be no filming on the property, however, and St. Rocco's will not be featured in the film, Fr. Ambros Boyd, from the Church of St. Rocco, said in an email.
"We are delighted that many parts of Glen Cove will be featured and are very happy to be behind the scenes as the movie is filmed," Boyd said.
"The Week Off" is set to be released in 2018. The movie is about the parents of an engaged couple who are in the final week of preparations for the wedding, according to IMDB. In the movie, Sandler's daughter is set to marry Rock's son.
