'We Must Conserve Water' And Follow Watering Schedule, Says Glen Cove

GLEN COVE, NY — In an effort to conserve water, the City of Glen Cove is reminding residents to comply with its watering schedule ordinance, especially as temperatures continue to rise this summer.

Per Water Ordinance Chapter 270-35, those in even-numbered houses and buildings can water their lawns and wash their cars on even days from...

• 5 - 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. - midnight

Those in odd-numbered houses and buildings can do the same, but on odd days from...

• 5 - 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. - midnight

People in houses and buildings with no numbers can adopt the even-number schedule, according to city officials.

Watering is not permitted on the 31st of the month.
