Woman Struck, Killed Crossing Nassau Street Friday: Police

GLEN COVE, NY — A woman died while crossing a Glen Cove street Friday afternoon, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the homicide squad is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at 2:07 p.m.

While attempting to cross Pratt Boulevard, the female pedestrian was struck by a 2019 Ford van traveling southwest on Pratt Boulevard in the vicinity of Pulaski Street, detectives said.

The woman, 69, suffered severe trauma and was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead by a hospital physician, police said. The female driver, 68, remained at the scene; no charges were filed, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
