Beer Truck Wipeout Clogs Gowanus Expressway
A beer truck overturned on the Gowanus Expressway Monday morning, sending Buds flying and backing up traffic.

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — A beer truck overturned on the Gowanus Expressway Monday morning, backing up eastbound traffic for miles while cans of Budwiser filled the roadway's lanes.

The accident happened at about 4:50 a.m., according to the NYPD. The accident sent one person to Methodist Hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.
DNAinfo reported that Budweiser cans were sent falling to the streets below the expressway, leading some New Yorkers (not those caught in the resulting traffic jam, presumably) to respond with typical sarcasm:
