Brooklyn Dog-Walker Remembered As 'Transcendent Person'
Chris Dallett, a Massachusetts resident whose girlfriend lives in Brooklyn, died last week when he fell down a flight of stairs.
RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Chris Dallett, the dog-walker who died suddenly last week after falling down a flight of stairs, is being remembered by friends and family as a "transcendent person" and a loving dad and boyfriend.
Dallett lives in Boston but was in Brooklyn visiting his girlfriend and wanted to help her out with her dog-walking business.
“We both had been taking care of those dogs since [the owners] got them, so he knows them inside and out,” his girlfriend, Carol West, told The New York Post. “He wanted to see some of the dogs he had taken care of over the years."

Dallett was found unconscious at 15 Carroll St., between Van Brunt and Columbia streets, in the Columbia Waterfront neighborhood, and was pronounced dead on the scene. The NYC Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death accidental.
“It was an accident. Neither of the dogs had issues,” Liliana Dallett, Chris' 19-year-old daughter, told The New York Daily News. “It’s so tragic. I don’t know what one does when you lose not only the person you come from, but your best friend.”

“(My 13-year-old daughter) was really looking forward to seeing him," Melissa told the Daily News. "She hadn't seen him since Christmas.”
