Enjoy the Last Weeks of Summer With Outdoor Movies at Valentino Pier

Valentino Pier has two more free outdoor movies planned for August, courtesy of Red Hook Flicks.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Believe it or not, the end of summer has begun. But there's still time to enjoy two free outdoor movies in the neighborhood. Red Hook Flicks has teed up the following showings to close out the month:

On Aug. 23, you can enjoy David Bowie's classic "Labyrinth"

And on Aug. 30, you can say so long to the season with "Aliens" (a movie perhaps best known for an unintentionally hilarious line delivered by Bill Paxton, but one that's still fun all the same).

The showings will both kick off at 8:30 p.m. (or when it gets dark) at Valentino Pier, located at the intersection of Coffey Street and Ferris Street. Seating isn't provided, so don't forget a blanket or chairs. Food (but no alcohol) will be sold on the premises, and dogs are welcome.
