The US Coast Guard and the state Department of Environmental Conservation are both investigating the incident, a New York State DEC representative told Patch.

Prestige Yacht Charters advertises the 200-passenger ship as "your own private floating nightclub" on its websites, but President David Hackert denied responsibility when contacted by the Post.

“[Prestige] does not own or operate the boat,” he said.
