Red Hook Bust Nets 12 Guns And A Crossbow, Police Say
Police found 12 guns, six bulletproof vests, a crossbow and ammo inside a Visitation Place apartment last month.

RED HOOK, NY — A bust inside a Red Hook apartment turned up 12 guns, a crossbow, ammo and bulletproof vests, police announced last week.
Officers executed a search warrant at a Visitation Place apartment on Feb. 24 as part of an investigation into drug activity in the neighborhood when they found the cache of weapons and ammunition inside, the NYPD said.
"I've been in the command for over a year and this is the largest gun seizure that I have seen," said NYPD Sergeant Sheldon Arringell, field intelligence officer for PSA 1, which led the raid, in a statement.
