Red Hook Sewer Work Begins Next Week

Here's how you will (and won't) be affected.

RED HOOK, BROOKLYN — Starting next week, the NYC Department of Design and Construction will begin three to four weeks of work on the sewer system in Red Hook.

Work will begin "on or about March 20" at the intersection of Imlay and Verona Streets, the department said in a notice to the community.

The work will last for about three to four weeks and go on 24 hours per day, seven days a week (that last part being bolded and underlined in the notice).

Curbside parking will be restricted in some areas while the work is ongoing, and those spots will be marked with appropriate signs. Bike lanes will also be temporarily changed.

What won't be affected: Power, water, access to driveways, phone, cable and more.
