GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — A Red Hook man was arrested last week after he got into a fight and then stabbed someone who tried to stop him from getting on a train at the Smith and 9th Street station, police said.
Steven Jones, 41, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and assault on Friday for the incident, which happened around 3:50 p.m. the day before.
On Thursday, Jones had gotten into a dispute with a group of men on the subway platform and then tried to get on a Manhattan-bound G train. Another 48-year-old man, though, tried to stop him from getting onto the train.
