Reminder: Tell The City Your Ideas For The Future Of Gowanus
Have ideas about zoning? Land use? Urban design? Just want to learn more?

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — Gowanus residents have a chance to tell the city what they'd like to see in the future in the ever-changing neighborhood.
The New York City Department of City Planning will host two public workshops to get community input on its plans for the future of the area.
The workshops are both on Saturday, March 25, at PS 32 on the corner of Hoyt and Union streets. The first is from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and the second from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Both sessions will cover the same materials. They will include "mapping exercises" and "visioning activities," according to a flyer for the events.
"Participants will learn about neighborhood goals that community members and City agencies are working on together and contribute their own ideas about land use and urban design through mapping exercises and conceptualizing activities," a city announcement says. "This is the first public workshop in the planning process to develop a draft planning and land use framework for the neighborhood."
