Cops: Officer Shoots Carjacking Suspect, Tie Possible to Flower Hill Robbery
The incidents occurred Wednesday evening, police say.

A robbery at a Manhasset store on Northern Boulevard in Flower Hill Wednesday evening may also be related to nearby carjacking in which a suspect was shot by police, authorities said.
Nassau Police said the robbery at the T-Mobile store at 1073 Northern Boulevard occurred at 6:20 p.m. The carjacking occurred shortly after on Lakeville Road in Lake Success.

While attempting to disrupt the carjacking and apprehend the suspect, a Lake Success police officer “discharged his weapon, wounded the subject and placed him under arrest,” according to a press release.

Nassau Police did not release the name of the wounded suspect or the officer.
The suspect’s description leads police to believe that the carjacking and the robbery are related, according to Newsday.
