Electrical Fire Breaks Out At Great Neck Plaza Co-Op: Officials
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office.
GREAT NECK, NY — An electrical fire broke out at a co-op building in Great Neck Monday, prompting a response from several area fire departments.
It happened shortly before 2 p.m. at 21 Chapel Place in Great Neck Plaza.
Within 30 minutes, the fire was brought under control by members of the Vigilant, Alert, and Manhasset-Lakeville fire departments, according to officials.

A member of the Vigilant Fire Department told Patch that the fire started in the electrical transformer room of the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office. No injuries were reported and the fire was contained to the room of origin.
