Former Great Neck Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday at The Bristal

Phyllis Feingold a resident of The Bristal Assisted Living at East Northport since 2021, celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday, January 19th at The Bristal, surrounded by fellow residents and her two children.

Mrs. Feingold a retired New York City school teacher, was born in Washington Heights. She was married to her husband Herman for 61 years until his passing in 2005. Phyllis and Herman met at Rockaway Beach. Longtime residents of Great Neck, the Feingold’s spent many years enjoying their retirement in Florida. They were also experienced world travelers, visiting Russia, China, Europe and the Caribbean.

Mrs. Feingold enjoys water aerobics, and has been a physical fitness enthusiast since becoming a regular at the gym in her seventies. A graduate of Hunter College, Mrs. Feingold later attended St. John’s and Queens College to secure a degree in teaching.
