Nassau Grocery Store Worker Fondles Boy In Back Room: Cops

BREAKING: Police say the 7-year-old had been shopping with his grandfather when a worker led him into a room and sexually abused him.

GREAT NECK, NY β€” A grocery store worker in Great Neck has been arrested after police said he led a 7-year-old boy into a room, stuck his hands down the child's pants and touched him inappropriately.

The boy had been shopping with his grandfather at Best Market on Great Neck Road around 8 p.m. Friday when employee David Bonom led him to a bottle recycling room. Bonom 34, of Great Neck Plaza, then sexually abused the child, Nassau County police said.

The child told his father what happened when he got home. The man went to the store and called police. Bonom was arrested without incident.

Bonom faces a sexual abuse charge. He was expected in court Saturday in Hempstead.
