League of Women Voters Candidate Forum cancelled for tonight Oct. 22
Jack Martins cancels debate at last moment.

BREAKING: Yesterday, without giving any reason to his opponent for NYS Senate District 7, the League, or his public, Jack Martins cancelled his appearance at tonight's (Oct. 22) League of Women Voters (LWV) debate with Kim Keiserman which was scheduled weeks ago. This forced the League to cancel the event at the last moment since its rules stipulate that no candidate forums can take place with only one candidate present.
Daniel Norber did the same recently for his LWV debate with Gina Sillitti, also scheduled for tonight.
LWV is the gold standard of candidate forums. These late cancellations deprive their opponents and the public the opportunity to question Martins and Norber on the many points including but not limited to the many falsehoods they have put out in their campaign mailers and on social media. They, among other things, should be disqualifying for elective office to all voters with integrity, conscience, and an understanding of our democratic norms and precedents.
